Short-term domestic or international field-trip to the Eastern United States.  This option is for those who wish to see the historic and significant sights of the Eastern United States, but do not wish to be enrolled in any sort of formal classes, such as English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, while here.  This would be a 7-12 day trip, depending upon what you would like to see and your travel considerations.  The most basic trip would include a day in each New York City, Philadelphia and Washington DC as well as shorter trips to the Lancaster and Harrisburg Pennsylvania areas.  With additional days we might add Baltimore, Gettysburg and/or Cape Henlopen on Delaware's Atlantic coast.  Depending upon season, trips can also include visits to Hershey Park, a local amusement park.  All of our programs include transportation to and from the airport (lowest prices based upon use of Philadelphia International Airport), as well as all transportation while in our area.  Trips also include most meals, admittance to attractions and lodging.  We will do our best to accomodate special requests.

Intermediate-term Program:  This program is for those who wish to stay with us 2-5 weeks and who may, or may not wish to participate in English as a Second Language ESL classes or other educational programs.  The intermediate program is an intensive travel and sight-seeing program - it is the way to see and experience the most in the least amount of time.  Like our other programs, The Starr Home will provide all the transportation you need while you are here, most food and admittance to the various sights and events you wish to see.

Long-term program for those wishing to study in the United States:  The Starr Home has developed a unique relationship with nearby Millersville International House (MIH) and is please to work with them in their effort to provide English as a Second Language (ESL) classes to those studying in the United States.  Basic MIH programs generally run 6-12 weeks.  Participation in our program with MIH includes 5-day per week transportation to and from MIH plus frequent field-trips correlated to the teaching.  Field trips include visits to New York City, Philadelphia, Washington DC and various other sites.

Students residing in on-campus housing, such as a dormitory, might also be interested in checking out the programs listed under College Student Programs in our navigation area.
